Blending timeless classics with today’s hottest sounds, DJ D-Real transforms any event into a full-on vibe. His sets are known for their energy, flow and ability to move diverse crowds — from chill mixers to high-energy dance floors. With a deep love for hip-hop, R&B, house, party anthems and Latin rhythms, D-Real crafts soundtracks that bring people together and keep them dancing all night long. A true crowd-reader and music curator, D-Real doesn’t just play tracks — he builds moments. Every beat, transition and drop is designed to create connection and unforgettable energy.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, D-Real began his DJ journey in the mid-’90s spinning at house parties and private events, quickly building a reputation for his versatility and ability to move any crowd. Around the same time, he joined KCRH in Hayward, co-hosting the underground hip-hop show Club 90 for over a decade. The show became a local staple, featuring weekly live mixes and interviews with artists such as Big L, Raekwon, Mobb Deep, Xzibit and Bay Area legends including Mac Dre, 11/5 and The Luniz.

D-Real later joined KMEL, where he worked alongside on-air talent and mixers, helping to shape the sound of Bay Area radio while gaining valuable experience in broadcasting and promotions.

As his passion grew, D-Real transitioned into private and corporate events, building a strong client base across weddings, quinceañeras, anniversaries and large-scale celebrations. His professionalism and ability to adapt across genres have made him a sought-after name in the Bay’s event scene.

During the pandemic, when live events came to a halt, D-Real took his talents online — spinning live on Facebook, Instagram and eventually Twitch to lift spirits and stay connected with his community. What started as a way to share music quickly evolved into a thriving online family known as “Da Real One’s.” Now a Twitch Partner with nearly 4,000 followers, D-Real continues to entertain global online audiences with his signature high-energy sets that blend hip-hop, R&B, dance, pop, and Latin grooves. His weekly “Oldies Sessions” show, dedicated to Chicano soul and classic oldies, has become a fan favorite.

Today, D-Real can be found performing at top Bay Area bars and lounges, holding residencies at Johnny’s in San Leandro/Fremont and ECR Pub in Belmont, and rocking major events like Oakland First Fridays, Hayward Cinco de Mayo and Carnaval San Francisco. He also travels regularly for guest DJ appearances in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Sacramento.

As a full-time DJ and seasoned professional, DJ D-Real continues to push boundaries — blending sound, style and culture to create experiences that move people. He is currently expanding his list of residencies and welcomes inquiries from established clubs, lounges and event planners seeking exceptional DJ entertainment.
